I’m Jason Nutting, a fitness professional with 15 years of experience helping people eat, move, and live better. I live with my wife Jessica and our fur-baby Willow in Traveler’s Rest, South Carolina. I co-own The ONE GYM, a 4,000 sq. ft. private personal training studio and corporate wellness center in downtown Greenville, SC, alongside my partner, Alex Smith, CSCS.
Fitness isn’t just my career—it’s my passion. It has been my anchor through life’s toughest moments and the bridge that connected me to people and experiences that have changed my life. Helping others harness their potential through fitness isn’t just rewarding—it’s the fulfillment of a deeper purpose that began when I first discovered the power of movement and discipline.

My journey into fitness began during my service in the US Air Force while deployed in Iraq. Surrounded by the relentless desert heat and the intensity of service, I found solace in training during any downtime I could find. One night, as I lay exhausted after a long shift, an airman shook me awake, eager for my workout plan. That moment sparked a realization: the passion I poured into fitness could inspire and help others. During this time, I immersed myself in learning everything I could about fitness and training, reflecting the start of a lifelong pursuit of learning. One night, an airman woke me up to ask for my workout routine. It was at that moment I realized that helping others with their fitness could be more than just a personal pursuit—it could be my calling.
Later, I understood that my deeper motivation stemmed from wanting to bond with my father through shared fitness experiences. That drive took me from training in Iraq to starting my career in Little Rock, Arkansas, in a top-10 rated gym by Men’s Health magazine on the 29th floor of a high-rise. I was fortunate to be mentored by Mr. USA John DeFendis, creator of the Ultra Fit Diet, and later grew Upstate Bootcamp from 30 clients to 150. I climbed to Vice President of Marketing and Athlete Development at Performance QSA under leadership of Vaughn Bethell, managing over 350 clients while still coaching full-time.
I’ve learned from some of the best in the industry, including Bill Cortright, creator of the Stress Mastery Program and Stress Response Diet, and Billy Hofacker, owner of Total Body Bootcamp and host of Your Fitness Money Coach podcast. These experiences, combined with my ongoing education—I’m a USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach and Precision Nutrition Coach—have shaped me into a dedicated coach.

listic approach that empowers clients worldwide, setting my coaching apart by ensuring personalized, results-driven transformations that last. These guide every aspect of how I coach and set my training apart from the rest.
1. Courage – Behavior-Based
Real, lasting results come from the habits you build—not just hitting a number on the scale or chasing a specific outcome. That’s why I focus on behavior-based coaching, helping you create habits that lead to long-term success. We’ll set goals together, but it’s the skills you develop along the way that will truly dictate your progress. Every few weeks, we’ll adjust your program to keep you moving forward, whether you need a push or some flexibility.
2. Connection – Client-Centered
My priority is you. Coaching isn’t one-size-fits-all; it’s personal. I take the time to listen, ask questions, and understand what you want to achieve—mentally, physically, and emotionally. Together, we’ll create a customized plan that prioritizes your well-being and aligns with your goals. When you focus on improving yourself, every other part of your life follows.
3. Forward Movement – Results-Oriented
Most people want to look better, feel better, or perform better. My training is tailored to what you need, based on scientific evidence and adapted to your unique preferences. We won’t chase trends or fads. Every exercise and plan is chosen with your specific goals in mind, focusing on progress, not perfection. Incremental, consistent improvement is the key to lasting results.
I’m known for helping clients achieve serious results, even when they’ve felt stuck trying on their own or through group classes. Whether through personal training, nutrition coaching, or online support, I’ve helped clients and athletes break through barriers and reach their goals.
